Here’s a quick look at the plot of Gladiator II:
Arthur Fleck, played by Joaquin Phoenix, is dealing with a split personality. His other side is the Joker, a comedian with some seriously dark humor. In the first movie, he took out six people as the Joker. Now, he’s facing trial, and while his lawyer, Maryanne Stewart (Catherine Keener), wants to argue that he shouldn’t be held accountable for the Joker’s actions, he decides to represent himself, much to the delight of the attention-seeking defense attorney, Harvey Dent (Harry Lawtey). While in jail, Fleck meets Harleen “Lee” Quinzel (Lady Gaga), a troubled singer who becomes fascinated with him, seeing him as her other half. Through her, he starts to embrace his inner performer, shifting from a struggling comic to a show-stopping singer and dancer, reminiscent of Fred Astaire.
